I did not like anything about my stay in shaftsbury.it was a small dirty room stains all over the walls the headboard on our bed was full of stains the curtains on the windows were filthy .I found the staff to be so rude .it was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Your discription on booking .com did not match the hotel room at all.i allso found the price I agreed to pay when I handed over my credit card details did not match the price I was asked to pay by the hotel.
I liked nothing about this hotel .I paid for a superior double room instead I got a filthy grotty room .I was shouted and laughed at by a man called bhavin an experience I would rather forget.

Great location, comfortable nice room.
For a clubroom, it has no window as room was in the basement. It's not quite 'executive' but certainly nice rooms - at least the clubroom was.

The breakfasts were good
THe room was very small. No wardrobe etc. I could lie in bed and touch the bathroom door ,the wall at the bottom of my bed and the window. The sheets werent that clean. The carpets and decor to teh room was very tired. We were given an "upgrade" and a complimnetary breakfast. MAybe the breakfast was to offset the impending doom of the small room.

Easy to get to. Good breakfast.
I was moved to another building, downgraded i think, but given breakfast as compensation which I had not origianlly ordered and would have been happy to do without in preference for a better room. Room rather cramped and far too warm. Noisy air conditioner. Bath/shower only dribbled water. It was not a 'superior' room.

Location
The women on reception were very helpful, unfortunately their male colleagues were not - the person who checked me in was blunt and unfriendly as was another I encountered. However the concierge service and personnel were excellent.

Room was clean and near our venue
Room was very noisey due to being on a busy road, it was also very small and the T.v was not working poperly. We also never had our room made up on for the second night which was not a big problem but the bins were full and we ran out of tea and coffee. They did try to clean the room but at 5.30pm we thought was a little late.

The room was clean - and the bed comfortable. The shower was excellent and although very small the bathroom seemed newly refurbished. The location is very near to Earls Court tube station which made it very convenient
The executive room I booked was not available due to some refurbishing work. I was given a double room but it was very, very small. I was alone and just about managed - 2 people would have been really cramped. The widow had been nailed shut and the air con was a bit erratic and was either freezing cold or too hot. This would be a great place to stay if the rooms were a little more generously sized - I don't think it's unreasonable to be able to open the bathroom door wider than halfway before it hits the bed. No microwave either as promised in the blurb.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The hotel was well located for the tube station. Would definitely book again.

The people at reception were excellent and helpfull. It is very close to the metro station Earl's Court
Although the rooms are small but if you compare with the other London hotels it is sufficient.

The location was good, very close to the underground station at Earls Court and the Picaddilly line. Plenty of nice restaurants in the vicinity. Room was clean.
Room was quite small for two people.

the housekeeping was excellent: rooms clean. air cond worked well as did plumbing (except for a clogged sink). noce to have a mini-fridge and coffee/tea maker, as well as different biscuits left each day!
the "superior" single was tiny, even by London standards. I was in an extension of the hotel, about a half block away from the main building. seems as though four-room apts in that building had been divided into four hotel rooms per floor, and further reduced to add bathrooms. the dimensions of my room were 12 feet by 12, most of which was taken up by a double bed.when the bellboy took me there for the first time, we could barely maneuver my entrance and his exit! it was embarrassing. the self-closing room doors make a tremendous racket.
